SUMMER SCHOOL 2026

The summer school will take place at the French school in Ljubljana, at Ulica Dušana Kraigherja 2 from Monday to Friday, running from 7.30 AM to 16.30 PM.

The program is open to all children and will be executed in English. This however does not mean that Slovenian speakers are not welcome to join!

Mornings will start with free play untill 9.00 AM, when the first class will start. All Otroška akademija's favourite programs will be inclued: LEGO robotics and programming, science experiments, magic, arts and crafts, a cooking workshop and our very popular escape room for kids!

At around 12.30 we'll break for lunch, which we'll eat outside, if the weather allows. Warm meals are not included in the price and kids should bring their own lunch. The exception is cooking day, when we'll prepare our own food. Snacks (fruit and vegetables), water and juice will be provided every day.

After lunch we will relax in the shade and play untill about 1.30 PM, when afternoon activities will start. We're planning: getting to know each other games, a treasure hunt, kids escape room / make your own board game workshop (for younger kids), a movie, talent show and much, much more!

On Friday we'll wrap up the week with a short presentation, where children can show parents what they've learned and created during their time with us.

LEGO ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING

Kids will work with special LEGO education sets, designed to help children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while learning how the world around us works in a fun and creative way. With the help of a simplified visual programming interface, they will program their robots to move and make sounds!

LEGO SPIKE sets allow both simplified Scratch-based programming and more advanced programming in Python, so everyone will be able to find a project suitable to their level of knowledge.

ARTS AN CRAFTS DAY

One day will be dedicated to arts and crafts.

We'll paint a fun summer motive with acrylics and model figures out of airdry clay and paper.


If time allowes, we'll also explore some other techniques, such as soft pastels and watercolour.

COOKING DAY

What’s more fun than cooking and baking!


We will make our own lunch! Mix the dough, cook the sauce, grate the cheese, cut the salami and vegetables and assemble delicious pizzas.


But food shouldn’t only be tasty, it should look good as well. And what’s lunch without desert? We will prepare decorated muffins for a sweet afternoon snack as well and make sure to write down all of the recipes in our cook book, so we can make them at home!

SCIENCE AND MAGIC

Hmmm…is it really magic, or does it have a scientific explanation behind it? We will learn different tricks and do fun science experiments, all while trying to figure out how they work.

We’ll also watch viral videos and either prove they work or prove that they are only a hoax!

Fridays will be reserved to repeat our favourite activities of the week. This doesn’t mean we’ll do the same thing again, but more of what we found the most fun! To top it off we’ll dance and do karaoke!
We’ll also dedicate some time to preparing a short presentation, so we can show our parents all the new things we learned during the week.  

Price:

The price of the program is 305,00 euro with VAT and includes:
• daycare from Monday to Friday from 7.30 - 16.30;
• five days of fun educational workshops (at least 4 school hours per day);
•  all craft materials;
• snacks (cold) and drinks.

The price can be divided in up to 3 installments, but the last one has to be payed 2 weeks before the start of the programm at the latest.

The program is suitable for children from 5 - 12 years old. If there are more than 12 kids per week, we'll divide them into a younger and older group.

Don't miss additional benefits:
• all kids registered for summer school 2026 have a 10€ discount for the second and a 25€ discound for the third and all subsequent weeks at the French school Ljubljana or at Otroška akademija's summer workshops at Parmova 51 in Ljubljana;
• the same applies for siblings, there is a 10€ discount for the second child and a 25€ discound for the third and each subsequent child from the same family;
• all registered are also entiteled to a 15€ discound for escape rooms or birthday parties at Otroška akademija till the end of 2026. 

Can I register my child for more than one week?

The scheduled activites will remain the same, but if we have children registered for several weeks, we will change the program so the projects do not repeat. For example, we'll chose different lego projects, a different motive to paint, different recipe to cook etc. We even have several escape rooms translated to English! So if you need more weeks of daycare we've got you covered! And the programs held at Parmova are completelly different as well ;)
